Stamp-less envelope written from 'Bel Air' dated '21st Dec 1853' addressed to France with framed 'Souillac/ Jan 6 54' hand-stamp with framed 'Paid' and endorsed 'Packet 6/ Foreign Postage 1/6 = 2/-' in black m/s with oval 'Mauritius Packet Letter' in red on face, endorsed 'Overland Mail' (via Egypt) with 'Indes Or/ 2 Marseille' French entry cachet, taxed '10' in m/s with La Fleche receiver '28/2 54' on reverse. Very rare 1st type boxed 'Souillac' Lovely item.
