Netherlands East Indies. (Prisoner of War in Sumatra). 1943. Prisoner of War postal stationery card (first type) headed 'Furyo Yubin' (Prisoner of War Post) with pre-printed 'Furyo Shuyosho' (Prisoner of War Post) with vertical hand-stamp above reading "Marai" in katakana script and 'Ken'etsuzumi' (censored) with oval seal of "Hanno" in orange, hand-struck 'Sce Des Prisonniers De Guerre" written by 'T.F. Tymstra, No 158217, Private' addressed to his wife 'Mevr Tymstra-Duynstee, Den Haag, Holland', routed via Berlin with circular German censor cachet and hand-stamp "V11" in green, forwarded in Den Haag with instructional 'Woont niet (Segbroelaan 61)/ Nader Adres In De Wijk Onbekend' (Address in the area Unknown), endorsed 'Ontvangen July 43).
In his book "Dutch East Indies, Paradise Lost,' David Tett on page 199 talks about this card and illustrates the the only other example of this hand-stamp sold for $6000 HK in 2015.
