Stamp-less envelope written from Dthala addressed to Kilmallock, Ireland headed 'On Her Majesty's Service Only' with 'Her Majesty's' deleted and 'Field' inserted counter-signed by the Commanding Officer, endorsed 'No Stamp Available' with 'Bearing' in m/s, hand-stamped 'Active Service/Unpaid', routed via Aden '20th Jan 03' with circular 'T' hand-stamp. Wonderful item of Boundary Commission mail from the Royal Dublin Fusiliers on the Aden/Yemen Border Fighting against the incursions of the Turks. Proud records the Active Service/Unpaid used from 2/2 to 20/2 1903.
