Stamp-less envelope dated on reverse '15/10/17' in m/s, endorsed 'On Active Service' addressed to Cornwall, landed at Aden with circular ridged 'Passed Censor/ Aden/ No A. 100' applied in violet on face and signed and 'Received From H.M. Ship/ No Charge To Be Raised' and dated London 'Nov 8 1917'.

Scarce item from the British Fleet/ Navy patrolling in the Red Sea off Yemen and Aden protecting the Suez Canal and Red Sea ports.
