Albania. (Government of Essad Pasha). 1915. Essad Pasha Provisional Government envelope addressed to Germany bearing 40pa blue (unissued stamp hand-stamped with Crescent and Turkish inscription negative seal) tied by bilingual Durazzo date stamp '7th March 1915' with undated double ring Durazzo on reverse and circular '100' with hand-stamp '27th Avr 1915' arrival on reverse.
Essad Pasha formed a Government in central Albania in 1914 (having previously run a similar Government in 1913). His influance was limited to the area around Durazzo and he was driven out by the Austrian invasion in 1916. These stamps were issued on 10th February 1915.
