Air Mail envelope written from 'Dr Major Schouten, Netherlands East Indies Army, Camp Columbia, New South Wales; addressed to 'Madame Schoutenm Tilburg, Holland' bearing Australia SG 188, 4d green, SG 191, 9d chocolate, SG 208, 5 1/2d slate and SG 209, 2 1/2d lake tied by Brisbane date stamp with circular 'Passed by R,N,F, Censor/ No 31' in carmine with 'Opened by Censor' label tied by framed '2/ Passed by Censor/ 1380' in violet with Dutch censor tape and forwarded to Nymegan. Major Dr. Schouten had been a Doctor at the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army, Camp Columbia, Wacol, Brisbane and served with the 'RAPWI' (Recovery of Allied Prisoner of War and Internees) in the Dutch Indies, Timor and Thailand.
