Air Mail envelope written from the 'Commonwealth of Australian/ Prisoner of War Information Bureau/ Melbourne' addressed to 'The Secretary, Central Agency for Prisoners of War/ International Red Cross Committee, Geneve, Switzerland' bearing SG 192, 1s olive-green and SG 208, 5 1/2d indigo (pair) tied by Melbourne roller '21st Sept 44' with '3 Opened by Censor' label tied by framed '3 Passed by Censor/ 199' on face and reverse in carmine, routed via Gibraltar with transit 'Oct 22' on reverse.
Carried the "Horseshoe" route via South Africa, Cairo, Djerba and on Sunderland flying boat via Gibraltar to Foynes (Ireland) and on to Poole.
