Belgian Congo. (Sudan - Egypt). 1942. Envelope written from 'Catholic Mission, Baringa, Haut Congo, West Coast of Africa' addressed to Sheffield bearing Belgian Congo Yvert 172, 40c green, Yvert 174, 60c purple and 2f 50 carmine tied by Boma date stamp '16th March 42', endorsed 'per Basankusa' with hand-stamp 'Censure Belge Congo' on face (bottom left), sent inland via Irumu '19th May' and Aba '24/5' on reverse, overland via Sudan and Egypt with 'Opened By Examiner 19' (green on white label) with circular hand-stamp 'A' in violet (applied in Juba) and Egyptian double ring 'M/ Censorship' on face and reverse.

Very nice item with three country censorship sent from the Upper Congo along the River Congo to Boma and then east to the Congo/ Sudan border and overland through Egypt.
