Brazil postal stationery envelope 100r red upgraded with Yvert 130, 50r green (pair) tied by Rio de Janeiro date stamp written from German Prisoner of War in 'Camp No 1' with framed' (Red Cross) Correspondance/Des Prisoniers De Guerre Au Bresil' in violet with 'Aberta Pela/Cenura' label tied by circular 'Estado Maior Da Armada/Servico da Censura' in violet on reverse, addressed to the 'Deutsche Hilpsverien, Stockholm' with 'Opened by Censor/4681' label and Stockholm arrival. Rare item from German Seaman captured in Brazilian waters and interned, the address in Stockholm is under-cover, the mail was then forwarded to Germany.
