(Tanganyika). 1940. stamp-less envelope written from Germany addressed to 'Germany Internment Camp, Daressalam, Tanganyika' cancelled by Halle dispatch '16/1/40' with blue East Africa 'Opened by Censor' tied by framed 'Passed No 2/By Censor' in violet with German censor tied by 'Camp Post Office/Daressalam' receiver '12th Mar' and returned to Essen with boxed instructional 'Parti/Gone no Address; in violet on face. Very fine item of internee mail from East Africa.
