Air Letter envelope written from the 'Northern Rhodesia Regiment, East Africa Command' addressed to England bearing Kenya Uganda SG 134, 10c orange-brown and SG 137, 15c rose and black tied by 'E.A. A.P.O. 53' double ring '31st March' with 'Crown Passed by Censor' and framed 'Deputy Chief Field Censor/ Received From A.P.O./ 4th Apr 1945/ Returned to A.P.O. 6th Apr 1945' in violet on face.
Army Post Office 53 based in Diego-Suarez and used K.U.T. stamps from '24.1'44.'
From 24.1.44. Hudson's flew from Diego-Suarez via Lindi, Dar-es-Salem, Mombasa and Nairobi.
