British West Indies. (Jamaica - Ship Letter -Accountancy). 1864. Envelope addressed to London bearing SG 4, 4d brown-orange tied by 'A01' obliterator with adjacent Kingston/ Jamaica date stamp 'Fe 10 64', hand-struck 'Jamaica Ship Letter' on face, endorsed 'per steamer "Mexican", with hand-struck accountancy '1 1/2' in red ink on face, routed via Liverpool with tombstone 'Paid/ Liverpool/ Ship/ Mar 9 1864' in red (Robertson S. 19) and 'Ship - Letter/ London date stamp 'March 10' in red on reverse (Robertson S. 33).

Lovely item in Exhibition quality paying the inland rate accountancy and with the full Ship Letter charge pre-paid, the appropriate 'Paid Liverpool Ship' was struck in red ink on arrival at that port.
