Burma. (Laos - India). 1932. India 'one anna' brown postal stationery envelope upgraded with SG 201, 3p slate (2) and SG 203, 1a brown tied by Papun - Burma double ring '10th March 32' addressed 'c/o East Asiatique Francaise, Pak - Lay (Laos)' endorsed 'via Singapore' with Singapore transit '21st March' on reverse and Paklay/ Laos double ring receiver '14th Avril'.

Papun was the starting point of the caravan route to Northern Siam and the direct route to Paklay was 450 kilometers but over impassable mountain ranges.
This postal stationery item was sent from Papun the circuitous passage via Singapore and on by French paquebot to Saigon and up the Mekong River via Vientiane and Luang Prabang a journey of over 5000 kilometers.
Double ring Papun known by Proud (26.4.37) - (7.2.38). This earlier by five years !
