Cambodia. (French General Colonies). 1890. French General Colonies postal stationery envelope 15c blue cancelled by Krauchmar/ Cambodge double ring '2nd Juin 90' addressed to Saigon, French Indo-China with Pnom-Penh transit '9th Juin' and Saigon-Central/ Cochinchine arrival '10th Juin' on reverse.
In 1889-91 Auguste Pavie on his third mission in Laos and Cambodia surveyed the area along the Mekong from Saigon to Laos.
A Post & Telegraph Office was implemented in the small village of Krauchmar in 1884 by a small group of French "Tirailleurs" (fighting soldiers).
