Envelope headed 'Banque de L'Afrique Occidentale/ Siege de Douala' addressed to Douala bearing French Cameroun "Valmy" Yvert 241, + 100f on 1f25 carmine, Yvert 241, + 100f on 1f25 blue and brown, Yvert 242, + 100f on 1f50 brown, Yvert 243, + 100f on 1f25 carmine and Yvert 244, +100f on 2f 25 ultramarine tied by Douala date stamp '17th Jan 44' with circular 'Controle Postal/ Commission A/ Territoire du Cameroun' routed via Senegal with 'Controle Postal Militaire' censor label tied by oval 'Ouvert/ Par/ L'Autorite Militaire' and 'A/1' censor hand-stamp. Very attractive item. Ex Maddocks and illustrated in his book.
