Camerouns. (French Cameroun). 1943. Stamp-less envelope written from the 'Marine Artillery, Douala', endorsed 'F.M.' (Francaise Militaire) addressed to Kribi cancelled by Douala date stamp '28th Mar 43' with circular 'Control Postal/ Commission A/ Territiore du Camerouns' and censor tape tied by framed 'F.M.', on face with Kribi arrival '31st Mars' on reverse. Ex Maddocks and illustrated in his book. Maddocks reasons the boxed 'FM' is an abbreviation of 'Fusiliers Marins.'
