Stamp-less envelope to France written from St John, New Brunswick dated '12th January 1857' with 'St John-New Brunswick' double arc on reverse sent on the steamer (Van der Linden 1632), routed via London with French entry cachet, rated '24' with Marseille receiver on reverse. Very fine example of this scarce accountancy mark.
