(New Brunswick). 1840. stamp-less envelope written from Grand Manan Island (New Brunswick) dated 'June 23rd 1840' addressed to London endorsed 'per Herald', landed in Ireland with 'Cove/Ship Letter' in black (Robertson S2) and Cove date stamp 'Jy 27' , routed via Dublin 'Jy 28' and London arrival on reverse, rate '8' in m/s for single Ship Letter charge. Very fine.
