"Cordelia", North America' bearing Great Britain SG 172, 1d lilac tied by Glasgow date stamp 'Oct 18 1897' , signed by the 'Commanding officer' with Burton-On-Trent arrival 'Oc 19' on reverse. Nice item from 'H.M.S. "Cordelia" at Newfoundland (1896/97) paying the 1d military concessionary rate.
