Ceylon. 1885. Envelope addressed to London bearing SG 168, 28c on 48c rose tied by 'A' bar obliterator with Colombo date stamp 'Ap 8', endorsed 'via Brindisi' with London receiver 'May 5' on reverse. From Mach 85 onward all mail from the east was detained in Suez for disinfection. Very fine.
