Stamp-less envelope written from Jersey dated '15th Sept 1853' addressed to France cancelled by Jersey date stamp in red on reverse, endorsed 'via Southampton' with 'Port Paye' in m/s, routed via London with circular 'Paid; and 'Ship Letter/ London' in red 'Sept 17' (Robertson S29) and 'Angl/ Par Le Havre' French entry cachet '20th Sept' in red on face. Very fine.
