"Dresden", Chile', endorsed 'Service des Prisonniers de Guerre' and hand-stamped 'Prisoner of War' addressed to 'Comite International de la Croix Rouge, Agence International des Prisonniers de Guerre, Geneve, Suisse' cancelled by Talcahuano/ Chile date stamp'18 Oct 19' , routed via Santiago '19/10', endorsed 'via Buenos Aries and Genova' with 'Verificato Per Censure' label tied by hand-struck '(77) Verificato/ Per Censura/ Genova Posta Estera.'

The 'SMS "Dresden" escaped the Battle of the Falklands and retreated into the Pacific Ocean to raid on allied ships. A British squadron consisting of 'H.M.S. "Kent" and "Glasgow" found the "Dresden" in 'Mas a Quiriquina Island' in the Bay of Conception and took and the crew Prisoners of War.
