CHINA. (MANCHURIA). 1942. Envelope written from Sale Manchester date '14th Nov 1942' endorsed 'Prisoner of War Post/Service Des Prisonniers de Guerre' addressed to 'Sgt. Hanson, R.A.O.C. No 4, Ordnance Store Company, A.P.O. 1515, British Prisoner of War, c/o Japanese Red Cross/Tokyo' with 'Opened by Examiner /2355' censor label sent to Singapore and endorsed by the BRE in Singapore 'OVS 16/8/42' with m/s 'CHO' in red crayon indicating Hanson had been in Chosen, Korea with framed 'Hoten POW Camp' in violet with Oval ''Murata'' censor seal in orange. Hoten Camp near Mukden received senior personal, First Lieutenant Murata censored most of the mail. Very fine item from the Hanson correspondence into Hoten Camp.
