May, British Prisoner of War, Taiwan Camp' cancelled London '3rd' May 43' with 'Opened by Examiner / 1726' censor label with boxed 'Taiwan Furyo Shuyosho' (Taiwan POW Camp) and circular 'Mizushima' censor seal in red and endorsed 'Prisoner of War, camp 6' in red crayon (indicating Signalman May was in Camp 6) Taihoku and received 'Oct 10 43'. The first recorded 'Mizushim' censor on incoming mail to Taiwan. Not seen by David Tett.
Signalman May was one of 500 P.O.W.'s transported on 27th Oct 42 from Singapore on 'Dai Niche Maru' arrived in Takao Port, Taiwan in Freb 43 and incarcerated in Takao Camp.
