Att 135th Field Regiment , A.P.O. No 1635, Singapore. British Prisoner of War, c/o Japanese Red Cross/Tokyo' cancelled Norwood '21st Sept 42' with 'Opened by Examiner /6055' censor label and endorsed by the 'Bre' in Singapore 'OVS 27/10/42' with boxed 'Taiwan Furyo Shuyosho' (Taiwan POW Camp) in carmine and oval censor seal in red and endorse 'No 6 ' in red crayon (Indicating Signalman May was taken Prisoner by the Japanese with the fall of Singapore 'Feb 15th 1942' and sailed from Singapore on the 'Dai Nichi Maru' with 500 hundred other POW's to Taiwan.
