Air Mail envelope written from the Royal Air Force in Chengtu addressed to Scotland bearing United States SG 811, 10c brown and SG A906, 30c blue tied by 'U.S. Army Postal Service A.P.O.' date stamp '28th August 42,' with scarlet on blue bilingual 'Par Avion' label in Chinese and English, with blank censor tape tied by 'Censored U.S. Army' hand-stamp on reverse in red and framed 'U.S. Army/ Examined by Theater Censor' on face in carmine, endorsed 'Censored by / R.A.F. Censor' and signed , endorsed 'By B.O.A.C. to Lagos, Nigeria via Calcutta & Cairo thence/ By P.A.A. To Destination' with 'Opened by Examiner 9824 label applied in England.
