China. (India). 1943. Air Mail envelope written from the 'Friends Mission, Chin Lung Kai, Chengtu' addressed to London bearing SG 636a, $1 olive-green, SG 638a, $2, blue-green (2), SG 641a, $5 carmine and SG 656, $10 red-brown (imperf) tied by Chengtu date stamp, endorsed 'Via B.O.A.C.' to Egypt/ then quickest way', routed via India with Calcutta 'Opened by Examiner' label. Very fine.
The mail was sent C.N.A.C. to Calcutta and B.O.A.C. horseshoe route to Cairo and by surface mail to England.
