The Boxer Uprising was a violet and fanatical statement of anti-foreign and Christian feelings against the Colonial expansion in China and the East. This resulted in an international force of 55,000 troops from the eight nation alliance to repress it. French Troops were drawn from France and Indo-China but also from other French Colonies including a Balloon section. By 1902n there were seven military Post Offices in China.
