China. (Chinese postal stationery card 15c orange-red upgraded with SG 400, 15c scarlet tied by Shanghai date stamp '18th May 41' addressed to England, endorsed 'S.S. "Pres. Taft" with framed 'Crown/ Passed/ P. 89' British censor on face in violet applied on arrival.
The S.S. "President Taft" had been requisitioned from the American Presidential Lines and spent time in the Far East, Guam and the Philippines during WW2.
