Registered envelope addressed to Buitenszord, Java bearing China SG 473, $1 brown and grey tied by Shanghai date stamp '22nd Aug 40' with matching registration label, routed via Singapore with 'Passed By Censor/ 31/ Singapore' hand-stamp on face and reverse and 'Censuur Batavia/ Door Censuur Geopend' censor tape (on left and right) tied by 'Gecensureerd/ 19' and circular 'Dev/ 10' on face in carmine with Buitenszord arrival '17th Sept 40' on reverse. Very nice item of censored mail into the Netherlands Indies from China via Singapore.
