Picture post card of 'Cherry Blossom at Koganie' addressed to 'Monsieur Emile Magnec, Sergent Secretaire du Treaorier au 2nd Regiment de Tirailleurs Senegalais a Kati, Soudan Francais' bearing Russian China SG 2, 2k green tied by Tyan-Tzin 1 Pochtov Kontora' dated '14th Aug' (Tchillinghirian Fig 488).

The date block month and year became gradually worn until late 1901 the whole year is missing.

The 2nd Regiment of Senegalese Tirailleurs was a regiment composed of African Infantry formed by the French Army. It was created by decree on 23rd April 1892 as the 'Regiment de Tirailleurs Soudanais' and were garrisoned at Camp Gallieni, Kati, French Sudan.
