China postal stationery card '30c orange cancelled by Shanghai date stamp '12th July 41' written by 'Poldi Antosch' and endorsed 'c/o Poldi Antosch 'S.S. "Asama Maru" Shanghai' addressed to her husband 'Josef Antosch, Central Internment Kamp, D/ 3, Alas Vallei, Sumatra', routed via Singapore with Passed By Censor/ 276/ A' in violet and Medan 'Gecensureerd/ 4' censor hand-stamp in carmine on face.

The wife of Josef Antosch along with 670 women and children had left Salatiga Camp via Tandjong Priok on the 'S.S. "Asama Maru" for Japan, they disembarked in Shanghai in transit on the way to North China.
