Imperial Chinese Post postal stationery card 'one cent' carmine upgraded with 'Hoihow' SG 4, 5c green and SG 5, 10c black/ lilac mixed with French China SG 6, 15c grey tied by Hoihow/Ile de Hainam double ring '20th Feb 03' addressed to France with Vendre arrival '25/3' on face.
An Indo-Chinese Post Office was opened at Hoihow the chief town on the island of Hainam on 15th May 1900.
