Envelope endorsed 'Corps Expeditionnaire de Chine/ Regiment de Zouaves de Marche' addressed to France cancelled by 'Tresor et Postes Aux Armees 2 Chine 2' date stamp '10th Mai 01' with fancy boxed 'Chinese' hand-stamp in blue on reverse and Annemasse arrival '8th Juil 01'.
The "ZOUAVES" were a light infantry in the French Army originally recruited from North Africa.
