General Headquarters, M.E.F.' addressed to Brazzaville, Middle Congo bearing Great Britain SG 490, 3d pale violet tied by 'Egypt/ Postage/ Pre Paid/ 172' date stamp with 'Crown/ Passed by Censor/ No 1832' and 'Examined by Base Censor' label in red tied by 'Deputy Chief Field Censor' in violet on face, routed via the Free French Forces with 'Poste Aux Armees F.F.L. B.C.M. 4' double ring date stamp on reverse '22nd Jul 1943' and 'Controle Telegraphique/ Commission A/ Afrique Equatoriale Francaise' double ring, circular '126' censor cachet and Brazzaville/ Moyen Congo arrival '31st July' on reverse.
