Sector Kos Rang, Tientsin, Chine de Nord' addressed to Vosges France', endorsed 'F.M.' cancelled by circular 'Corps D' Occupation De Chine/ Le Vaguemestre; (with anchor in center) and hand-stamp dated '29 May 1940' in violet on face, endorsed 'via Siberia' with "Gepruft" German censor label tied by circular censor cachet in red and Vosges arrival '20th Nov 40' on reverse.
Scarce item from the Imperial Japanese Army's Japanese North China Area Army whom blockaded the British Settlement in Tientsin, thus escalating into a major international incident. The cover was 6 months in transit. Parts of France had just been placed in German Occupation at this early date in the War.
