Picture post card of 'Poro village, New Caledonia' written from Poro and addressed to France bearing New Caledonia Yvert 91, 5c green tied by Nelle Caledonie/ Sce Mme Cote Est' double ring (Salles 2271). A lovely item of mail carried on the Costal Maritime French mail service going East to West around the islands.
Poro was a small village on the north coast of the island known for its nickel mine.
