Air Mail envelope addressed to New Zealand bearing New Caledonia Yvert 189, 2f 50 brown tied by Noumea/ Nelle Caledonia double ring '12th Dec 40', routed via Sydney, Australia with 'Opened by Censor' label tied by 'Passed by Censor/ S. 90' hand-stamp in violet and routed via the Netherlands East Indies to Soerabaya with circular Deviezeninst/ Deviezen Censuur Soerabaya/ 2' in red with adjacent 'Gecensureer/ 36' hand-stamp on face and reverse. Very unusual routing via the Netherlands East Indies with censorship.
