De La Marine/ des Colonies' on face, routed via Paris '3rde Sept 58' with framed 'P.P.' (Paid Part), endorsed 'via Anglaise' with London Paid transit 'Sep 14' on face and rated '8' on reverse for the 'Ship Letter.' fee. Early mail into the Society Islands (Tahiti) at this time. The only other mail sent inwards is to Navy ships.
