Registered envelope addressed to France bearing 'French Benin' Yvert 36, 5c green (two inter-pain pairs) and Yvert 37, 10c black/ blue (inter-pani pair) tied by Abomey/ Dahomey double ring '6th Aout 01' with framed hand-struck 'R', routed via Zagnanado 7th Aout and sent by French paquebot with octagonal 'Loango a Bordeaux L.L. No 3' date stamp (Salles 1214) with Besancon receiver on reverse '18th Sept. Very fine item of registered mail from Abomey, Benin.
