Air Mail envelope addressed to 'Sergeant Bernard Tracqui, Free French Forces, Fort Archambault, Tchad, French Equatorial Africa' bearing Oceania Yvert 168, 20f green and Air Mail 'French Libre' Yvert 3, 5f green tied by Papeete/ Tahiti date stamp '9th Oct 42' with 'Controle Postal Militaire' pink censor label tied by oval 'Ouvert/ Par/ L' Autorite Militaire', endorsed 'via San Francisco and New York' with 'Opened by Examiner/ I.E./ 8023' applied in Trinidad and circular 'Controle Postal/ Commission A/ Afrique Equatoriale Francaise' censor in violet on face, routed via Brazzaville/ Moyen Congo '28th Nov', with 'Forrt Archambault/ A.E.F.' arrival '11th Dec 42' on reverse.

Wonderful item of destination mail from Tahiti carried over the Pacific to San Francisco, New York, detained for censorship in Trinidad and over the Atlantic via the French Middle Congo to Tchad.
