(Advice of Receipt) envelope addressed to Paris bearing New Caledonia Yvert 42, 2c brown, Yvert 43, 4c lilac (pair), Yvert 46, 15c blue and Yvert 50, 40c orange tied by Nelle Caledonie/ THIO date stamp '12th Jan 00' with hand-struck framed 'R' and 'A.R.' (Advice of Receipt) struck twice on face, routed Italy with 'Modane a Paris' ambulant in red and Paris receiver on reverse '3rd Mars'.
Attractive four colour franking paying the double letter rate plus registration and Advice of Receipt.
THIO was the only village that used this home-made 'A.R.' hand-stamp.
