Envelope headed 'Correspondence Militaire' and (signed by the Commander on reverse) addressed to France and forwarded to New Caledonia bearing French General Colonies Yvert 23, 25c blue tied by dotted lozenge with adjacent 'Inde/ Pondichery' double ring '4th Sept 74' with octagonal 'Corr D'Arm/ Pondichery' in blue, boxed 'PD' in red, routed via Suez on P& O "S.S. Teheran" with Marseille transit '29 Sept' and forwarded to Noumea on French paquebot "Curieux" with m/s 'Received 18 Sept 75' on face. Wonderful item of military mail from French India to the small French island of New Caledonia. Unique item for the Exhibitor.
