Folded letter addressed to Italy bearing French 'Napoleon' Yvert 13, 10c bistre (imperf pair), Yvert 14, 20c blue (imperf strip of four) and Yvert 16, 40c orange (imperf 2) tied by '4012' in lozange with adjacent 'Salonique/ Turquie' date stamp, routed via 'Les Dardanelles' with Livorno arrival. Very rare 'Petit Chiffres' used in Salonique paying the 2 franc double letter rate. Exhibition item.
