Envelope addressed to France bearing French China 'Type Blanc' SG 37, 5c green (4) tied by Tientsin Poste Francaise date stamp '13th Feb 05' with hand-stamp 'Corresces d' Armees' and circular '16th Regt. D' Infantery de Marine,' endorsed with bold hand-stamp 'Voie Suez', underpaid with framed 'Affranchissement/ Insuffisant' with hand-struck 'T', bearing French postage dues Yvert 29, 10c brown (pair) applied and tied by Ardennes arrival on reverse '25th Mars 05'. Very fine item taxed in France because routed via Suez (Egypt) and not the Siberian route. Exhibition item.
