German East Africa. 1897. Envelope addressed to Germany bearing Yvert 4, 10c pesa on 25pf blue tied by Langenburg date stamp '12th Feb 97' routed via Kilwa '18/3' and Dar-Es-Salem '23/3' with Neuwad arrival on reverse '15.4.97.' Nice quality.

Tukuyu known as Langenburg during German Colonial rule was a village on the north shore of Lake Malawi abandoned in 1900 due to rising flood water and a new town known as Neu Langenburg was settled.
