( France ). 1868. envelope addressed to France bearing North German Confederation Yvert 3, 1/2g orange and Yvert 5, 2g blue (pair) tied by Hamburg date stamp '11th Jan 68' with 'Tour-T/Forbach 3' French entry cachet in blue and hand-struck 'Boite/ Affranchissement/ Insuffsant' ( Van der Linden 649 ) in blue and charge with hand-struck '7' on face with Rouen '13th Jan' arrival on reverse. Attractive item with 'Boite Insuffisant' not listed in blue by V.D.L. should have paid the double letter rate but under-stamped.
