Stamp-less envelope addressed to French Madagascar cancelled by Leipzig date stamp '22nd April 12' with Vatomandry/ Madagascar receiver '16th Mai' on reverse with framed 'T' hand-stamp and endorsed '2 Ports/ a perc 80c' and bearing French General Colonies postage dues Yvert 19, 10c brown (imperf), Yvert 20, 15c green (imperf) and Yvert 23, 50c violet (imperf) mixed with Madagascar Yvert 10, 5c green applied and tied by Vatomandry/ Madagascar receiver '18th Mai' with boxed 'Inconnu' and hand-stamped 'Retour/ A L' Envoyeur' on face with m/s 'Inconnu a Vatomandry le Facteur', signed by the postmaster on reverse and returned via Tamatave '3rd Juin' and German receiver with boxed instructional on face 'Zuruck/ An Den Absender' in violet.

Very attractive cover mailed 'Unpaid' from Leipzig at the double weight letter with four colour mixed postage due franking.
