Gibraltar. (British Post Office in Egypt). 1866. stamp-less envelope written from the "S.S. Atlantic" dated '25th May 1866' addressed to Egypt cancelled by Gibraltar date stamp 'May 27' , rated '10' in m/s with British Post Office Alexandria arrival 'June 9' on face. Lovely item with letter from a surgeon on the "S.S. Atlantic" referring to the death of the addressed young daughter.
