Gold Coast. (Damaged By Sea Water). 1943. Envelope addressed to England bearing SG 123, 2d slate (pair) tied by Elmina date stamp '23rd May 42' with boxed 'Crown/ Passed/ 00/3' censor in violet and framed instructional 'Damaged By Sea Water' on face. Nice item of crash mail, according to Nierinck mail is only known from this crash from Ceylon, China and Aden. Little information is known about the crash, the few items salvaged all the correspondence goes to Great Britain.
